Elaine Hahn, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, holds a BA and MA in Art from the University of Missouri, and has studied with noted artists throughout the United States, England and Mexico. Her early career was influenced by her experience at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. Elaine Hahn is a Signature member of the American Watercolor and the National Watercolor Societies. She is also a Signature member of the Florida Plein Air Society, a member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. Her paintings have achieved prominence through acceptance and awards in major national juried exhibitions. Her works are included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. She has taught and conducted Workshops and has served as a judge in Art Shows on the local and regional level, as well as the Paint America’s “Paint the Parks” (formerly “Arts for the Parks”).

Elaine has participated in and won awards at many of the art festivals where she has exhibited. Her images have been chosen for the Show Posters at the Miami Coconut Grove Arts Festival; the Naples Invitational Arts Festival; the ArtiGras Arts Festival in North Palm Beach, FL.; the Mainsail Arts Festival, St. Petersburg FL. and the Art Fest by the Sea Art Festival in Jupiter FL.

Her work has been published by Rockport Publishers in the Best of Watercolor and the Best of Florals. She was also a featured Artist in Watercolor Magic Magazine, published by Artist's Magazine, and in the U. S. Art Magazine-Introductions of 29 Artists Worthy of Collector's Attention. Her work has been included in the publications The Artistic Touch 3, by Creative Art Press, the Southeaster Framer Magazine, Splash 5: Best of Watercolor -The Glory of Color, Splash 6 – The Magic of Texture, and Splash 7 – The Qualities of Light, by North Light Books. In July 2005 she was a featured Artist in Décor Magazine’s Biography Series and the Marine Artist in the March 2006 issue of Art Business News. In 2007 she was included in the book Best of America-Watercolor by Kennedy Publishing Inc.

Her recent work in Plein Air and Studio Oils bring a new dimension to Elaine’s work and has resulted in a First Place Award at the December 2005 Clearwater Paint Out and a Third Place Award at the February 2006 Punta Gorda, FL Art Fest. On the national level, she was selected to participate in the Estes Park Colorado Plein Air Paint Out and the Carmel California Plein Air Art Festival. She also has had one of her oil paintings selected for the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Juried Exhibition in Richmond Virginia. In April 2007 she received a Merit Award at the Mainsail Arts Festival in St. Petersburg, FL for her work in Oil paintings.

Elaine’s images have also been selected through her Art Licensing Program by national firms in the manufacture of gift products including Christmas cards, magnets, notebooks, stationery, gift bags and many other products.
